You may have caught a quick post I published last month in support of the Jason Pack Charity Auction being held on the Texas Fishing Forum that allowed anglers to bid for the chance to spend a day on the water with one of many pro-anglers (including: West Coasts all time money winner Gary Dobyns, Bass Master Elite Pros Kelly Jordan and Clark Reehm, and of course Mark Pack of Lake Fork Lures fame).
This was a weekend long event that took place this past weekend (June 29th and 30th) on where else, Lake Fork. Day one of the event was open to non-professional anglers and gave them the opportunity to fish for a $5,000 first place prize as well as a chance for the $1,000 big fish prize. Day 2, was the pairing of Pro-Anglers with the winning bidders for the auction that saw some anglers services go for as high as $5,000!
This event was for a great cause and pulled anglers together to help raise money for a medical procedure not covered by insurance.. I for one am happy to report that $60,000 was raised during this 2 day event.. and much fun was had.. here are the photos to prove it!
