Kingston Canadian Open 2016 - Final Results & Weigh in Pics

And that's that!, the 2016 Kingston Canadian open is officially closed.. congrats to this years come from behind winner Steve Voros  (67.05lbs) who edged out the family Climpson to take home $12K as well as the hardware.

Paul Climpson slid into second place with 66.1lbs while son Cal Climpson dropped to 4th with 64.45lbs. Joe Fonzi make the move into 3rd place with a Day 3 bag over 25lbs that included a 6.75lb monster.

I really enjoyed the Bass Master style weighing, though the crowd seemed much smaller and it was much harder to get a good pic. There are some bugs to work-out but hey, it was worth a shot.

Congrats to all the winners.. see ya in 2017

Kingston Canadian Open Day 2 Results

the Climpson family seems to be taking the place of Johnston family as this years Kingston Open royal family. 

With day 2 in the books Cal Climpson weighed in another 23lbs giving him the two day lead of 46.85lbs. Paul Climpson still sitting in 2nd with 46.6lbs... Yeah it's that close. Steve Voros has jumped into 3rd place with just over 43lbs and Bob Izumi climbs all the way to 4th from his Day1 10th place finish.

It's a close one on the am side as well, new leader Andrew Buzdon has 45.8lbs and day 1 leader Evan Heatherington has 45.5lbs.

Bring on day 3... If you're in the Kingston don't  t miss the 3pm weigh held in the krock centre arena

Kingston Canadian Open 2016 - Day 1 Results

Day 1 of the Kingston Canadian Open is in the books, and as usual there are some familiar faces and names on the leader board.

Cal Climpson is the day 1 leader on the pro side with 23.45lbs, followed by Paul Climpson (hmm wonder if there's a relation there lol). In third is John Whyte and although I may be bias he's always on my routing list.

Other notable mentions are local Kingston angler Lenny Devos (5th) and of course fan favourite Bob Izumi in 10th.

The leader on the Am side is Even Heatherington, a talented angler that easily could be fishing the pro-side.
